These are two beautiful pairs of Kiso lacquer chopsticks—one for him and one for her.
The tips are sharpened to a very fine point, making it easy to pick up even small pieces of food. The handles are finished with colored lacquer, while the tips feature a suri lacquer finish that reveals the natural grain of the wood.
A traditional Kiso craftsman carefully sands and smooths the finished wood to eliminate any unevenness in the area to be lacquered, then applies the colored lacquer with great care to prevent dust from settling on the surface.
They feature a beautifully refined finish, achieved through traditional craftsmanship.
